Beach Walks
Walking from Villa
Paradiso you can walk the beach for miles in either direction. To the right a
nice walk is to walk into the town of Puerto Morelos, have a drink or
something to eat at one of the many restaurants and then to walk back.
Wearing a hat, particularly in the midday sun is recommended.
From Villa Paradiso going left you can walk around the peninsula to an area with
hundreds of sea shells (the story is that they were washed up during a
storm). If you continue to walk you will come upon a large scuba diving
outfit, an Italian Resort and then a Canadian resort where you might want
to stop for a bite or a drink before walking back.
Snorkeling
You can go snorkeling on your own
right in front of Villa Khan the reef is about 200 yards offshore making an
easy swim. However unless you are experienced with the reef we suggest that
you go out with one of the tours with experienced guides in the town of
Puerto Morelos. You can take a two-hour snorkeling tour of the Palancar
reef for around $20 USD. There are several snorkel/dive shops located in
Puerto Morelos. Well worth the experience. For additional information click

Deep-sea fishing and boat charters
are also available in Puerto Morelos.
